The Missoula Symphony & The Utah Symphony

THE MISSOULA SYMPHONY The Missoula Symphony had a concert scheduled with Ray Charles and sadly he passed on before it took place. They wanted to run a condolence note in their program to let people know the concert obviously was canceled. Van Zandt thought this first Ad was an eloquent way to achieve this. “Ray” is VZ’z favorite Ad he’s ever written. THE UTAH SYMPHONY VZ worked on the Utah Symphony during his time at Richter7. CLASSICAL DUEL RADIO This was the most fun concert VZ ever had the chance to promote. The Utah Symphony was playing with the bluegrass sensation The Wayfaring Strangers, so naturally VZ had an oboe play “Dueling Banjos” versus a cello for the Radio ad. The Utah Symphony ended up loving the idea so much that during the concert, they actually had a duel with the band and it went back and forth for over 10 minutes! They received a standing ovation ~ VZ stood and bowed. TCHAIKOVSKY RADIO VZ had to do a bit of research for this radio ad ~ An interesting life that Mr. Tchaikovsky led ~ He makes Lady Ga Ga look tame by comparison. BEATLES RADIO The Utah Symphony had a concert with a Beatles tribute band. VZ misses Ed.
