Van Zandt wrote these TV commercials for BCBS at Riester in Utah when Chevy was running the “Like a Rock” TV and the Mormon Church was running feel-good family centered TV.
These two commercials ended up winning Best Of Show at the IAF Rockies Competition.
Ironically a number of years later Van Zandt would be selected as a judge for that very same competition. Not sure actually if that’s “ironic”. Ask Alanis Morissette.
